Gift Of Work

Picture
Winners,

I have always thought of work as a gift. I also compare the way we live today to just a hundred years ago. We truly are blessed to live in these times. We can work as much as we want and for that work we are able to shop for anything we desire. Right down to never leaving our house. A hundred years ago, it was survival at its best. 96% of Americans were self reliant and had to work every day to put food on the table.

So why is it that so many don't like their jobs? I believe it's all about choosing to love your work. Regardless of what you do, you have to have a purpose. Our company's purpose is "Improving the quality of people's lives by making amazing rooms together." Each of our employees can also have a purpose to serve our clients through their own purpose. Each purpose aligns with the another. From sales, delivery, customer care, prep, cleaning, management etc. We all work towards one goal of serving our clients and living our why.

If you learn to love your job and focus on the difference that our products or services make on society you will grow and flourish. We also have to have empathy for our clients. Value the privilege to serve them from the heart and never take them for granted. My father taught me long ago to see it through the eyes of the client and how hard they have to work to save the money to buy our products.

Work is a gift and we must be grateful for the opportunity. If you take this approach to work, the sky is the limit. Master your job and do the best you can by learning and evolving. Ask yourself "Can I do this job better?", "What can I do to provide more value?". Jim Rohn always said, "You don't get paid for your time you get paid for your value." The more value you put on the table, the higher your pay. There is no limit to your potential. See yourself growing and prospering in your career.

Have a Spectacular and Grateful Day!!
Bill
